Novo Industries

Novo Industries is located at 267 - A in Mundathicode. We are part of the Talappilly Taluk in the Wadakkanchery area. It’s a fairly quiet place to have a factory. We do a mix of manufacturing work here. The floor is usually pretty busy with machines running most of the day. It gets loud, so we have to shout sometimes to hear each other. We make various parts and components, depending on what the current contracts are. It’s not the kind of place with carpeted floors or fancy desks. We have metal benches and lots of oil and grease around. That’s just the reality of making things from scratch. We’ve been in Wadakkanchery for a while and have a few local guys working with us. The work can be tiring, standing on your feet all day, but we get used to it. We spend time maintaining the machines because if one breaks down, everything stops. We don’t have much time for fluff. We just look at the drawings, set up the tools, and get to work. Shipping out the finished goods involves a lot of heavy lifting and checking labels. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but we usually find something to clean or fix while we wait. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of shop. We have a small radio playing in the corner, but you can barely hear it over the sound of the lathes.
