M E T'S School Of Engineering

M E T'S School of Engineering is situated on the Mala Pallipuram Road in Kuruvilassery. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but it’s a good spot for a school. The buildings are spread out more than they are in the city schools. We have several blocks for different departments. The workshops have that smell of oil and metal, and there’s usually some machine humming in the background. It isn't a polished corporate campus. The grass needs cutting in some places and the walls have some cracks here and there. We have labs with equipment that’s been used by hundreds of students over the years. It’s a practical place where people are usually busy with their hands or looking at drawings. The cafeteria is just a simple room with long tables where everyone sits together. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. Most of the decorations are just student projects or old posters about safety. The staff here are mostly engineers themselves who prefer doing things to talking about them. We don't have a big PR team. If someone wants to know about us, they usually just come down to Mala Pallipuram Road and have a look around. It’s just a place where people come to learn how things work and how to build them. We keep things pretty informal and just try to make sure the equipment is working for the next class. It’s a lot of work but we like it here.
