Our facility is located at Plot B-3 within the Sipcot Industrial Estate. It is a massive area with a lot of different factories, but we have been in this spot for quite a while now. At Hospira, the focus is on the production side of things. The building is large and kept very clean, which is necessary for the kind of work we do. It is not like a regular office where people are coming and going all day. Most of us are in uniforms and following the daily schedule strictly. The industrial estate is always busy with trucks and buses bringing workers in. There is a certain rhythm to the day here, starting with the morning shift change. We have our own canteen and some basic break areas. The work is repetitive but it has to be done carefully. We do not spend time on fancy decorations or trying to look impressive to visitors. The building is functional and designed for the machines and the assembly lines. It can be a bit isolated out here in Sipcot, so most of us commute together or take the company transport. It is just a big, busy plant where everyone knows their specific job and stays focused on getting through the production targets for the month. On the weekends, the estate gets a bit quieter, but the maintenance crews are usually still here making sure everything is ready for Monday. It is a serious environment because the products we make are important, and we take that part of the job quite literally every day.
