V&S Electric Company

Our shop is right in Sangi Pur Village, not too far from the Radaur Post Office and the main bus stand. Being in Radaur Tehsil means we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. V&S Electric Company is basically a small room filled with electrical parts, wires, and tools that have seen better days. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. Most people just know where we are because they see our scooters parked outside with ladders tied to the side. It’s a quiet village life for the most part, except for when the buses pull in and out. We spend our time fixing things for neighbors or helping out with the wiring in the local shops. Sometimes we’re out in the fields dealing with pump motors, and other times we’re just sitting on the bench outside waiting for a part to arrive. The shop gets dusty because of the road, so we’re always wiping down the glass counters. It’s simple work, really. We talk about the weather or the local news while we strip wires or test circuits. There’s no rush here like you find in the city. We just do the jobs as they come in and make sure we have enough supplies for the next day. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us going and we know everyone around here by name. Life moves at its own pace in the village.
