Yash Tent House

We started Yash Tent House because there was a lot of space out here near the Ujjain By Pass Road and people always need a hand when they’re putting together a function. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. We are right on Shyam Nagar Main Road in Sukhliya, not too far from the Readymade Complex. Mostly, you’ll find us moving bamboo poles around or folding up stacks of heavy carpets. It’s hard work and your hands get pretty dirty by the end of the day, but that’s just how it is with tents. My younger brother helps me out most days, and we have a couple of guys who come by when the bookings get heavy. Sometimes the traffic near the bypass gets really bad, so we have to leave the shop early just to get the truck through to wherever the wedding is happening. We keep the equipment in the back and there's always something that needs fixing or cleaning. People just walk in from the street to ask about prices or to see if we have enough chairs for fifty people. We don't have a big secretary or someone answering phones all day, usually it’s just one of us wiping sweat off our face and checking the diary. It gets hot in the summer under the tin roof here, but we manage. If you’re looking for us, look for the big stack of blue chairs near the entrance.
