We've been at 3, Badi Gwaltoli for quite a while now. If you know where Sanskar Hostel is, we’re just right there near Geeta Bhawan. It’s a busy little spot and sometimes the noise from the street gets inside, but we don't mind it much. Most days, it’s just the sound of the screens clicking and the smell of the ink. Screen printing is what we do here at Vindhya Vasini Screen Printers. It's not a fancy place with air conditioning or glass doors, just a regular shop where work gets done. People from the neighborhood drop by to ask about jobs or just to say hello. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is around here. We have stacks of paper and mesh frames leaning against the walls. It gets a bit crowded when a big order comes in, but we manage to find space to move around. The floor usually has a few ink spots that won't come off no matter how much we scrub. We started this because we knew how to handle the squeegees and the frames. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Most of the students from the hostel know us by now. We just keep the machines running and try to stay on top of the pile of work on the desk.
