Vaishnavi Caterers & Suppliers is tucked away at 1270/D in Sudama Nagar, right near Monica Bakery. Most people use the bakery as a landmark to find us when they’re coming for the first time. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Besides the catering, we also supply things to other smaller setups in the area, so our storeroom is always packed with big bags of grains and spices. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work. My day usually starts with checking the inventory to see what's left. If we're short on something, it throws the whole day off and causes stress. We’re a small team, mostly people from the local area who needed work and stayed with us. We’ve become like a little family over the years. We’ve seen a lot of changes in Sudama Nagar, with new shops opening and closing, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We don’t go for the fancy decorations or the high-end office look. We’d rather spend that money on better quality ingredients from the market. Sometimes we get a bit behind when everyone wants their food at exactly 8 PM, but we do our best to stay on schedule. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting heavy pots and crates, but it keeps us fit and occupied. We like being part of the community here and knowing the people we cook for.
