Utsav Musical Group

Started Utsav Musical Group a while back here in Siyaganj. We are right near Jabalpur Motors, you can't miss us if you are driving by that way. It’s mostly just a bunch of us who like music and started doing it for weddings and festivals around town. We keep our instruments in the shop at Msb 105. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we can barely hear the harmonium when we practice. My uncle used to run a similar thing and I just sort of took over the gear and the name. We aren't a big company or anything like that. Just some local guys with drums and speakers. Most days we are out on the road moving stuff from one hall to another. The summers are the hardest because of the heat when we have to play for hours. People in Siyaganj know us because we’ve been here for a good bit of time. We don't really do much fancy stuff, just the standard songs people want to hear at their parties. Sometimes we get new kids wanting to join and play the dhol. It keeps the place lively I guess. The shop itself is small, filled with wires and cases. It gets a bit messy during the peak season when everything is coming and going. We also have a couple of old fans that barely work, so practicing in July is a real chore. We usually end up sitting on the steps outside near the road just to get a breeze.
