The Lipid Company

Our place is in Tirupati Colony, specifically at No. 101 in the Krishna Apartments building at 82/83. It's a quiet residential area mostly, so it doesn't feel like a big business hub. We work out of this ground floor unit. It’s basically two rooms filled with samples and some basic testing gear. Working with lipids means we deal with a lot of oils and fats, so things can get a bit messy if we aren’t careful. The neighbors are used to us by now. Sometimes the delivery vans block the gate for a few minutes and we have to go out and ask them to move. We spend a lot of time just checking batches and writing down numbers in our registers. There is a small kitchen area where we make coffee. The light in the back room isn't great, so we moved most of the desks near the window. We’ve been here for a couple of years. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the products are okay before they go out. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small nameplate near the door. The colony has a few trees which is nice during the summer heat. We usually close up by six and head home. It’s a simple setup and we like that it’s not too loud or hectic like the main market areas.
