Suffi India Welfare Foundation

The place where we work is 144B in Vishvas Nagar. It’s in the Banjari area of Mhow Gaon Dc. It is a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the main city, but we like the pace out here. Suffi India Welfare Foundation has been using this space for a while now. The office is really just a couple of rooms where we keep all our supplies and records. It’s not the kind of place that would win any design awards, but it works for us. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually, and the furniture is a bit mismatched, but that doesn't stop us from getting things done. We usually have the door open to let some air in when the weather is nice. Most of our neighbors are just regular families or small shops. You get to know the people walking by after a while. We don't have a lot of corporate rules about how to sit or talk. It’s more like a group of people working together in a small house. We keep track of everything in our ledgers and on the few computers we have. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we just wait it out or find something else to do in the meantime. It’s a very human way to run a foundation. We are just here at 144B, keeping things moving as best as we can every day.
