Patidar Bags

Our place, Patidar Bags, is located at No. 52 D in Sudama Nagar. It’s a residential area that has a lot of small businesses mixed in. We work out of this space making and selling all sorts of bags. There are rolls of fabric and zippers everywhere you look. The sewing machines make a rhythmic sound that fills the room most of the day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the stock we keep. We don’t have a big storefront, just a door that stays open most of the time. People from the neighborhood often stop by to see what we are making. We use simple tables for cutting and packing. My hands are usually busy with thread and needles. Sudama Nagar is a nice place to be based. It’s friendly and everyone knows each other. We don't use any fancy machines, just the ones that have worked for years. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit for lunch. It’s a small, family-style operation. We don’t worry about being perfect; we just want the bags to be strong and hold up well. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, right here at number 52 D. We just keep making the bags the same way we always have, piece by piece.
