Shyam Minerals And Granite Industries is based at 42 Siyaganj. It’s a crowded neighborhood, and the streets are always packed with carts and people moving goods. Being in the mineral and granite business means everything we deal with is heavy. Our place is full of stone samples and bits of granite. It’s a dusty environment, no matter how much we try to sweep it out every morning. Siyaganj has its own rhythm, and you get used to the constant shouting of loaders and the horns of the delivery vans. We aren't corporate people with fancy presentations. We usually just talk over a cup of tea in the shop. The stone slabs take up most of our space, so we have to be careful how we walk around. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. We’ve got stacks of ledgers and some old wooden furniture that has seen better days. The light isn't great inside, but we know our stock well enough to find what we need.
