Shubham Kirana Stores

This shop is located right at 1/1 on Navlakha Main Road, which is a very busy part of Indore. If you know the area, we are sitting right opposite Vishal Tower. It is a landmark that everyone uses to find us. We have been running Shubham Kirana Stores for a long time now. The space inside is not very large, so we have to stack the sacks of grains and boxes of snacks pretty high up. It can get a bit messy during the monsoon when the rain comes down the main road, but we manage to keep everything dry. People from the apartments nearby come in for their monthly groceries. We sell tea leaves, cooking oil, various soaps, and all the pulses you can think of. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck doesn't show up on time from the wholesale market, but we usually get it back in stock by the next day. It is a lot of work handling the heavy bags and keeping track of who needs what. Most of the people around Navlakha know us by our first names. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just this physical store where we spend our whole day. It is quite loud with the horns honking outside on the main road, but you get used to it after a while. We just keep things moving and make sure the shelves aren't empty. It is a long day from start to finish, but it is what we do to earn our living here.
