Shubham Hospital

Started in Sec E, Sudama Nagar. Bangla Road is always busy. Futhi Kothi is the landmark everyone uses to find us. The building is at 2546. We spend most of our mornings cleaning the floors and checking the fans. It gets quite hot in the afternoons here. There are a few trees outside but they don't give much shade. Most patients come from the nearby colonies. The receptionist has been here for years and knows most of the regular faces. We have some old plastic chairs in the waiting area that aren't very comfortable but they do the job. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in. It's just a regular neighborhood hospital. The stairs are a bit narrow, so people have to be careful when it's crowded. We keep the registers on a big wooden desk that's seen better days. The water cooler is near the back and it's always popular in the summer. We don't really do fancy advertising, just the sign out front. Most people just walk in because they live around the corner. It's a simple setup and we try to keep things organized despite the constant noise from the street traffic. Sometimes a stray dog sits by the door in the evening. It is what it is, a place for people who need a doctor without going all the way into the city center.
