We operate out of Rx-3 in Sector C, over in Scheme Number 71. It’s a bit of a dual setup here because we deal with both cotton brokerage and polymers. It sounds like an odd mix, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years now. Most of the day is spent on the phone negotiating prices or checking on the quality of the batches coming in. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place to sit and work. We have samples of different materials lying around the shelves, mostly cotton fibers and various plastic bits. It gets a bit cluttered sometimes. Dealing with cotton means keeping an eye on the market daily, which can be a bit stressful when things are fluctuating. The polymer side is a bit more predictable but still requires a lot of attention to detail regarding the specs. We don’t really do any fancy advertising. People in the industry know where we are in Sector C. Usually, it’s just us and the sounds of the neighborhood. The parking around here can be a bit tight during the middle of the day, so we usually tell people to come by early if they need to drop something off. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. It’s steady work and we’ve gotten to know the other business owners around the scheme pretty well. The fans hum all day to keep the air moving in the office, and we usually close up once the sun starts going down.
