S. V. Overseas

S. V. Overseas is right in the middle of the action at 263 Shastri Market on M. G. Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and there’s always something happening right outside the door. We’ve been here for a good while and we like the energy of the market, even if it gets a bit loud sometimes. Our work involves a lot of coordinating between different people to make sure goods get across borders. It sounds complicated but once you do it every day, it just becomes a routine. We have a small space here, filled with samples and ledgers. We aren’t interested in being some big corporate entity with hundreds of employees. We like being small because it means we know exactly what is happening with every order. Sometimes we have to step out into the market to meet people or grab supplies, and that usually takes longer than it should because we end up chatting with everyone. M. G. Road is a hub for this kind of stuff, so it makes sense for us to be here. We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs, like any other business, but we keep showing up and doing the work. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we know how to do. The office is usually a bit of a mess during the peak season, but we know where everything is. We just keep our heads down and work.
