Sitare Fabrication

The shop is right on Raoji Bazar Main Road, not far from Kumrawat House. It is easy to spot because you can usually see the sparks from the welding through the front gate. We do all sorts of fabrication work here. It is mostly iron and steel stuff, like gates or window frames. The floor is concrete and always has some burn marks on it. I’ve been working with metal since I was a teenager, so my hands are always a bit dirty. We don't have a showroom. Customers just walk in and tell us what they need, maybe show us a drawing on a piece of scrap paper. It’s noisy because of the grinders and the traffic from the main road. Sometimes we have to shout to hear each other over the machines. It’s just how it goes in Raoji Bazar. We don't have a fancy logo or a big sign. People find us because they know the Kumrawat House area, and even the address says near Kumrawat House twice because it’s so close to it. I have two guys working with me, and we just grind through the work day by day. Sometimes a project takes longer than we thought because a machine breaks down, but we eventually get it done. It is honest, hard work. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that move the hot air around. We just keep welding until the sun goes down. Sometimes we stay late to finish a gate.
