Prestige Feed Mills Ltd. is tucked away at No. 30 Jaora Compound on M. Y. H. Road. If you know the area, you know how hectic it can get around here. There’s always something going on near the hospital and the traffic never seems to stop. Our place is right in the middle of it. It’s a practical space, nothing fancy at all. We have the mill stuff going and the office is just a side room where we handle the paperwork and the bills. The floor is usually a bit dusty from the feed, but that’s just part of the job. You can hear the machinery humming in the background most of the morning. It’s a sound we’ve gotten used to, like a heartbeat for the business. We don’t have a big receptionist or any of that. Usually, you just walk in and someone will look up from what they’re doing to help you. We’ve got a couple of old fans that creak a bit when they’re on high, but they keep the air moving. Dealing with feed means we see a lot of different people coming through the compound. It’s a lot of work and the days can be long, especially when a big shipment comes in or goes out. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the orders are sorted. It's a simple life at Jaora Compound.
