Preeti'S Art Academy

This is a small art space located at 49-A, Mahalaxmi Nagar. It’s basically just a room where we get together to draw and paint. I started it because I had the extra space and I’ve always liked doing art. There’s no big sign outside, just the address. Inside, it’s mostly stools and easels. I keep a lot of my own sketches around the place too. It’s pretty quiet in Mahalaxmi Nagar, so it’s a decent place to focus on a drawing. We do different things like charcoal or watercolors. Sometimes the water jars spill and we have to mop it up real quick. It’s not a fancy school with a big staff. It’s just me and whoever wants to learn that day. I don’t use a lot of big words or complicated theories. I just show people how to look at things and put them on paper. We spend a lot of time just practicing. Some days the light is great and everything looks good, and other days we struggle with a simple sketch. That’s just how it goes with art. I have some old art books for people to look through if they get stuck. It’s a very informal setup. We usually have some tea and just talk while we work on our pieces. It feels more like a hobby group than a business most of the time. We just enjoy the quiet hours spent with a pencil.
