Precision Gears (Indore) Pvt Ltd is based out of the Laxmibai Nagar Industrial Estate, right at unit number 8. Indore has its own way of doing things, and this industrial area is no different. It’s a place where people get their hands dirty. Our workshop is where we spend the bulk of our time making gears and parts that other businesses need. It’s not a quiet job. Between the lathes and the milling machines, there is always a constant hum in the air. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years. The estate itself is pretty standard, with trucks coming in and out and the occasional power cut that makes us all go out for a smoke or a tea. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy slogans. We just know how to cut metal and make things fit together properly. The office part of the building is just a small corner where we keep the books and take calls. Most of the time, you’ll find the staff out on the floor rather than sitting behind a desk. It’s hot in the summer, and the shed gets quite warm, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the measurements and making sure nothing leaves the shop if it isn’t right. It’s steady work, and we like the people we work with. That’s about all there is to it.
