Our place is at 792, Khatiwala Tank, which is right in the heart of the Transport Nagar area. Being near Navratan Hall means there are always trucks and heavy vehicles moving around nearby. It is a bit of a grit-and-grime type of neighborhood, which makes sense because we deal with oil. At Meguin Oil India, we spend most of our time around barrels and cans. The smell of lubricant is pretty much stuck in our clothes at this point. We do not have a fancy office; it is mostly storage space with a small area where we keep the records and talk to people. It is a practical spot for drivers and mechanics who need to pick up supplies for their engines. The floor is concrete and often has a few marks from where things have been moved around. We get a lot of foot traffic from the transport guys who are passing through town and need to top off their supplies. It is not the kind of place you would come for a casual chat, but we are always here if someone needs to know which oil is right for their machine. The sun can get quite hot in this part of town, so we try to keep the bay doors open to get a bit of a breeze through the stacks. It is simple work, moving stock and helping customers, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down.
