Mahavir Furnishing

Our shop is at 6 Vijaynagar, right on A B Road in Indore. It is situated directly opposite the Metro Tower, so it is quite easy for people to find us even when the traffic is heavy. We deal with all kinds of furnishing materials like curtains and sofa fabrics. The place is usually filled with big rolls of cloth stacked against the walls. It can get a bit messy during the day when we are pulling out samples for people to see. We have some guys who help with the stitching and fitting too. Often, customers come in with a specific color in mind and we spend an hour looking through different catalogs to find the right match. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so it gets quite warm inside. We have been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit with all the new buildings. We don't really do much advertising. People mostly just walk in because they are passing by or heard about us from a neighbor. We spend a lot of time measuring things and writing down dimensions on scraps of paper. It is a simple way of working but it works for us. We just try to make sure that the curtains or cushions we make actually fit the windows they are meant for. It’s just us doing our daily work in the middle of a busy city.
