D. K. Traders

D. K. Traders is located at number 18 Maharani Road, which is a very busy part of the city. We are right near the UCO Bank, so that is usually the landmark we tell people to look for when they are trying to find us. The street is always full of cars and people, especially during the middle of the day. We deal with various trading goods and spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking our ledgers. The shop is not very big, but we manage to fit a lot of stock into the space we have. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized when a new shipment arrives, but we usually have it sorted by the evening. We have been here for years, and the regulars know they can just walk in and have a chat while we look for what they need. It is a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, but we try to keep the counters clean. We do not have any big slogans or anything like that. We just open up the shutters in the morning and stay until the work is finished. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we enjoy being part of the Maharani Road community. The bank staff often comes by for a bit of change or just to say hello. It feels like a small village sometimes despite all the noise and traffic outside our door.
