If you walk down Maharani Road, you'll find Bharat Radios at number 65. We are located right near the Hanuman Temple, which is a big landmark around here. Our shop has been in this spot for decades. It started out with actual radios, but of course, things have changed a lot over the years. Now we handle all sorts of electronics and repairs. It’s a small shop, and the shelves are usually overflowing with wires, spare parts, and half-finished projects. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have known us since we were kids. We spend a lot of time behind the counter with a soldering iron in hand. It’s quiet work, except for the sounds from the temple and the street traffic outside. We don't try to compete with the big malls. We just offer a place where people can bring their things to get fixed or buy parts they can't find elsewhere. There is usually a bit of a crowd on Tuesday evenings because of the temple, so we stay busy then. It’s a good life, being part of the Maharani Road community. We just keep our heads down and fix what comes through the door. Sometimes people just stop by to chat for a bit, which is fine by us. We’ve seen the whole street change while we stayed right here at number 65. The neighborhood has always been home to us.
