We have been at 57 New Dewas Road for quite a while now. The shop is always a bit noisy because of the machines we use for pressing and forging. It is not a place for a quiet conversation, that is for sure. In the mornings, we get the power on and start the daily routine of moving metal around. The smell of oil is something you just get used to after the first week. We have some heavy equipment here that takes up most of the floor space. Sometimes the machines are a bit temperamental, but we know how to keep them running. It is just a regular place where people show up and work hard. We do not have a fancy lobby or anyone to greet you at the door. Most of the time, we are just in the back with our earplugs in. The street outside is usually full of trucks loading and unloading stuff, so it can be a bit of a mess. We spend most of our hours inside the main shed. It is a job like any other, I suppose. Most of the guys have worked here for years and we know the rhythm of the shop. You get used to the sound of the hammers after a while. We keep the floor as clean as we can, but industrial work is messy. People come and go throughout the day. We just focus on getting the orders finished. It is a simple setup at Khk Pressing & Forging Pvt. Ltd., but it gets the job done.
