Khanuja Timber Ply

If you walk into the G.N.T Market and look for Shop No. 156-2, that is where you will find us at Khanuja Timber Ply. We are located right near the New Tolkanta on Dhar Road, so there are always heavy trucks and trailers weighing their loads just a few yards away. The constant sound of those engines and the scales is the background noise of our daily lives. Inside our shop, everything is about the plywood and the timber stacks. We have large sheets leaning against every available wall, and you have to be careful walking through the narrow gaps so you do not catch your clothes on a rough corner. The air always has that dusty, woody scent that just stays with you. We have a small wooden desk where we handle the billing and phone calls, but it is mostly just a counter with an old calculator and a stack of paper ledgers. There is no fancy decoration or air conditioning in here. We just have a couple of old ceiling fans that hum away all day long to keep the air moving. The market is a pretty gritty place, and our shop fits right in with that. We spend our time helping people load up their vehicles or picking out the right grade of ply for whatever they are building. It is just honest, tiring work that keeps us busy from morning until dark.
