Our office, Khandelwal Kakani & Co, is located in Chamber No 8 on the first floor of Johri Palace. This is right on M G Road, which everyone knows is one of the busiest spots in Indore. The building number is 51. Being in an older building like Johri Palace means the place has a bit of character. It’s not a shiny new skyscraper. The hallways are narrow and the stairs are well-worn, but it feels like home to us. We’ve been here for many years. Inside our chamber, it’s mostly just desks and rows of files. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to greet you with a script. It’s a very informal environment. We are just a small group of people doing our work. M G Road is always full of life, with shoppers and traffic everywhere, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the paperwork. We don’t spend money on fancy marketing or slogans. We just talk to our clients like regular people. Most of our work comes from long-time relationships. We don’t feel the need to be corporate or polished. We just want to do a decent job for the people who walk through our door. It’s a simple life in the middle of a busy city. If you’re ever around M G Road, you’ll see the building easily enough and can just come up to the first floor.
