Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. has its office over on the 3rd floor of the Apollo Arcade. It’s located at 1/2, Old Palasia. The elevator in this building is a bit slow sometimes, so most of us just take the stairs if we aren't carrying heavy stuff. It's a decent workout every morning. The office is usually filled with the sound of phones ringing and people talking about shipments. We deal with fertilizers and chemical stuff, which is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of it. It’s not the most exciting work in the world but it is important for the farmers and the local trade. Old Palasia is a good spot to be in, even if the traffic during the evening rush is a total nightmare. We have a few desks squeezed in and a lot of filing cabinets that have been here since I started. There is a small window that looks out over the street, though it’s mostly just roofs and trees you see from up here. We don't have a fancy lobby or any of that stuff. Just some chairs for people to sit on while they wait to talk to someone. The coffee machine breaks down at least once a month, which is always a disaster for the staff. We just get on with the daily routine and try to keep the paperwork moving along. It’s a steady kind of place with people who have worked together for a long time.
