Kapila Lamps Pvt. Ltd. is situated in Laxmi Bhawan at 182 Devi Ahilya Marg, which most people around here just call Jail Road. We have been in this building for quite a while. The place is filled with all kinds of lights and bulbs. Sometimes it feels a bit too bright inside with all the testing going on. We have boxes stacked in the corners and under the tables. Jail Road is always busy with traffic, so there is a constant hum of cars outside. We mostly deal with the technical side of things, making sure the wiring and the glass are all okay. It is a lot of manual work, checking each piece before it goes out. Our office area is just a small desk at the back of Laxmi Bhawan. We keep our records in big binders that are starting to get a bit worn out. Most of the people who work here live nearby, so we all walk or take the bus. We have tea breaks together in the afternoon when the sun hits the front window. It is a regular job for us. We do not do anything fancy, just make sure the lamps are ready for whoever needs them. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we have a few fans going. The floor is concrete and easy to sweep, which is good because we get a lot of dust from the main road.
