Jai Maa Kali General Stores

Jai Maa Kali General Stores is our little shop located at 22 Aadarsh Meghdoot Nagar in Indore. We are right in the Vijay Nagar area, which is a part of town that never seems to sleep. There is always someone walking by or a scooter zipping down the street. I’ve been running this store for a while now, and it’s filled with all the standard things you’d expect—spices, grains, soaps, and those small packets of biscuits people like to have with their tea. Indore is a great place to live, even if it gets really hot in the summer. I usually keep the front door wide open to let in a bit of a breeze, even if it brings in some dust. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we’re busy, but I always manage to find what the customer is asking for. Dealing with people from all over Vijay Nagar is the best part of the job. You hear all kinds of stories while you’re weighing out sugar or counting change. We don't use any fancy technology here, just an old calculator and a ledger for keeping track of things. It’s a simple setup, and I like that it feels personal. People know they can come here for their daily needs without any fuss. The 452010 postcode area is home to me, and this store is just my way of making a living while staying close to the community.
