Jagdamba Store

Jagdamba Store is right on Kanadia Main Road, just across from Jagdamba Hardware. We are pretty close to Bengali Square and not too far from the Prem Bandhan Garden. It is a lively part of the city, so there is always something going on outside our doors. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much during the evening rush, but it brings a lot of people by. We keep the store open long hours to make sure people can get what they need when they are heading home. Inside, things are usually a bit crowded with stock because we try to keep a lot of items on the shelves. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different cousins or brothers behind the counter depending on the time of day. We know a lot of the neighbors by name since they stop in for their daily supplies. The garden nearby is nice for a bit of fresh air when things get too quiet in the shop, though that doesn't happen very often. We spend a lot of time organizing the shelves and making sure everything is in its place. It is a lot of standing around and talking to people, which is the best part of the job really. We just try to provide what the local community asks for without making a big deal out of it. There is always a lot of dusting to do because of the road, but we stay on top of it as best we can.
