Out here on Sanwer Road, the dust never really settles. Our place is at Plot No. B-35/a in Sector C of the Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a drive to get here every morning from the city. You can hear the noise of other factories all day long. We work with herbal stuff, so there is always a faint smell of dried plants and roots in the air. It’s not a bad smell, just strong. The warehouse part of the building stays cooler than the office side. We spend most of our time at Amruta Herbals checking the batches and making sure the labels are on straight. Sometimes the trucks get delayed because of the road work nearby. It can be frustrating. We usually have lunch together in the small back room. There isn't much to see out the window except for other industrial sheds and a few skinny trees. We have a couple of dogs that hang around the gate, and we feed them whatever is left over. The work is steady but repetitive. We don't use a lot of big machines, mostly just hands-on stuff. When the rainy season hits, the road gets muddy, which makes it hard for the staff to get in. We just deal with it. It’s just how things go in this part of town. We’ve been here at Plot B-35/a for years now and know all the other owners on this strip.
