We are located on the 5th floor of Milindas Manor. It’s right there on 2 R N Tagore Marg, and if you look out, you can see Central Mall right across the street. Being in this part of the city means there is always something going on outside. For those of us at Hindustan Phosphates, our daily routine is mostly about managing orders and talking to people about chemical supplies. It’s a serious environment but we aren't formal people. We’ve been in this office for a while, and the walls are starting to show a bit of age. We have a small team here. Most of the work involves keeping track of shipments and making sure the accounts are in order. The tea man comes around twice a day, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. We don’t have a big reception area or shiny signs. We just have our workstations and the files we need to do the job. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's completely silent. Dealing with phosphates means a lot of technical talk, but we keep it straightforward with our clients. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the office decor; we just want to make sure the work gets done. The location is convenient for most of us, even if the parking around the mall can be a nightmare during the weekends. It is just a normal, busy office.
