Hardev Enterprises

Hardev Enterprises is located on the second floor of Shrinath Palace. If you are coming from Rajwada, you have to find the Shiv Vilas Palace building first. We are in shop 202. The stairs can be a bit steep especially when you are carrying boxes, so we take it slow. It’s an old building so it has that specific smell of old stone and paper that stays in your clothes. We’ve got shelves lining the walls and a heavy wooden desk that has been here since we opened. Sometimes the fans make a clicking sound that drives me crazy but you get used to it after a while. The view from the window isn't much, just the street below and some other buildings. We drink a lot of tea here. Usually, someone goes out to get a tray of cups around mid-afternoon. It’s a busy part of town so there’s always something happening outside. We aren't trying to be anything special, just a place that handles its business every day. Some days are slower than others. When it rains, the water splashes against the glass and makes it hard to see out. We have a routine that we follow. It starts with opening the shutters at 10 and ends with checking the locks at night. Rajwada is a great place to be but it gets crowded. We keep our heads down and stay busy.
