Guru General Store

You can find Guru General Store over in Indore, specifically at 83/3 Sanvind Nager within the Tilak Nagar area. We are very close to the Sabji Mandi, so there’s always a lot of noise and activity around us, especially in the mornings when everyone is out buying their vegetables. Being near the market means we get a lot of foot traffic. We sell a bit of everything—soap, flour, biscuits, and all the small things a household runs on. It’s a small shop, and sometimes it feels like we’ve crammed too much into it, but we like having a variety. The street outside can get pretty muddy when it rains, but people still make their way to us. We’ve lived and worked in Indore for years, so we understand how things work here. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing. We just open the shutters, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It’s a honest day’s work. My family helps out, and we take turns at the counter. Sometimes we chat with the regulars for a bit too long, but that’s the nice thing about a neighborhood store. It’s more about the people than anything else. We just want to make sure the pantry staples are available for anyone who stops by on their way back from the mandi. We keep it simple and just do our job.
