The Employees State Insurance Corporation Model Hospital is a big landmark at No 1 Nanda Nagar. Because it is an ESIC hospital, it stays very busy with workers and their families coming in for all sorts of reasons. The building is quite large and has been around for a long time, so it has that solid, older feel to it. You will see people waiting in the hallways with their paperwork and yellow slips. We have many departments here, and the staff is always on the move. Nanda Nagar is a bustling area, and the hospital is right in the middle of it all. It can be a bit overwhelming for some because of the sheer number of people, but we have a system that mostly works. The benches in the waiting area are often full by nine in the morning. We don't have any fancy art on the walls or soft music playing. It is a functional place where the goal is to see as many people as we can. The doctors and nurses stay busy, and there is always a bit of a queue at the pharmacy window. Even though it is a big institution, we try to remember the regulars. It’s a lot of hard work keeping a place this size running every day, but it’s what we do here at Nanda Nagar.
