Dry Fruit Kirana Store

Our place is the Dry Fruit Kirana Store, located right near the bus stop in Bhavar Kuwa, Indore. Being near a bus stop means we get a lot of travelers who are just looking for a quick snack or a bottle of water before they head out. But we also have a lot of local regulars who come specifically for the almonds, cashews, and raisins we keep in the glass jars. I try to keep the dry fruits covered well because of the dust from the road. Indore is a busy city and this area is no exception, there’s always someone in a hurry. The shop itself is small and the wooden shelves have been there since my uncle ran the place. I usually spend the quiet hours in the morning sorting through the new stock and making sure the jars look full. It’s a bit of a cramped space, especially when three or four people are inside at once. I don't have a lot of help, so I’m usually the one doing everything from the cleaning to the accounts. The 452004 area has a lot of energy, and I like being in the middle of it all. It’s not always easy keeping up with everything, but it’s a living. Most days are just about managing the stock and talking to the people who stop by while waiting for their bus. It’s just a normal day-to-day business here.
