Dr Dikshit Clinic

The clinic is over at 72 RNT Marg. If you know where Laxmi Narayan Doodhwala is in Chhawani, we are right near that spot. It’s a pretty busy part of town and there is always something going on outside with the traffic and people getting their milk. We open up early most days. Usually, one of us gets here around 8:30 to start tidying the waiting area and checking the files. It isn’t a very big place, just a couple of rooms and some benches for people to sit while they wait their turn. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the afternoons when everyone finishes work. We try to keep things organized but sometimes things get a bit messy when the phone won't stop ringing. Most of the people who come in live right here in the neighborhood. They’ve been coming to see Dr Dikshit for a long time now. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are. The building itself is older, so we are always fixing little things like a leaky tap or a flickering light bulb. It feels more like a local house than a cold office. You might hear the tea stall guy shouting outside or the scooters buzzing by. That’s just how it is around here. We just focus on seeing the patients who show up every day. It's a lot of work but it's what we do.
