Dolphin Hospital & Research Center

Dolphin Hospital & Research Center is located on MG Road, but you really have to look for us behind Chappan Dukan. That area is always packed with people eating street food, so the smell of samosas and poha is constantly drifting into our back windows. It’s a bit of a strange spot for a hospital, being so close to a food hub, but it’s where we are. The building at 584 MG Road has seen better days, honestly. The paint is a bit dull and the corridors are quite narrow, which makes it tricky when we’re moving equipment around. We do research here too, but mostly it feels like a lot of paperwork and people staring at charts in small rooms. Patients and their families often wander over from the food stalls, looking a bit lost. The MG Road traffic is loud from morning until late at night, so there’s never really a quiet moment here. Our lobby has those plastic chairs that squeak whenever someone moves. We try to keep things organized, but on busy Mondays, it feels like a bit of a scramble. The staff is mostly local, so we all know which shortcuts to take to avoid the main road jams. It’s a busy place, even if it looks a bit plain from the outside. We have a small staff room where the tea is always lukewarm, but it's better than nothing during a long shift.
