Dharmawat Merchandise Pvt. Ltd. is located at 103 Sachidanand Appartments on Race Course Road. It’s a decent area, quite different from the crowded markets. Being in an apartment building means the office feels a bit like a home. We have a couple of rooms turned into workspaces. There’s 13/1 on the gate. We mostly handle merchandising, which involves a lot of phone calls and checking samples. We have samples of various products sitting on the shelves and sometimes on the floor too. The kitchen area is where we usually end up talking about the day’s work. It’s not a fancy corporate setup with a glass entrance. It’s just us and our desks. We can hear the traffic from Race Course Road, but it’s not too bad. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know us. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we take the stairs. It’s a bit of a climb up to the office but it’s good exercise. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just do our business and keep our records straight. The walls have some old calendars and charts pinned up. It’s a practical, lived-in space where we get things done without much fuss. We just show up and do what needs doing. Usually, the day ends with us making sure the doors are locked properly and the lights are all off. It’s a quiet routine but it works for us.
