Dhalia Tent House

We have been at Karbala Maidan for a while now. It’s a busy spot near Palsikar Chouraha and not far from the Collectorate. People usually find us easily because of the location in Palsikar Colony. Being near the crossroads means there is always noise and movement outside. Most of our days are spent checking poles, folding up heavy fabrics, and making sure everything is ready for the next truck to pick it up. It isn't fancy work. It gets hot during the day especially when we are moving the iron frames around the yard. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything and we have to keep cleaning the chairs. It’s just how things go around here. You see a lot of people passing by on their way to the government offices. We just keep to our routine of stacking and unstacking. The area stays lively until late evening. We know the neighbors and the tea stall nearby quite well. It’s a practical place to work from even if the traffic gets a bit much during peak hours. We just stay focused on what needs to be loaded and where it needs to go. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a local spot doing the work we've always done. We've seen the colony change over the years but our corner stays pretty much the same. Most people just drop by to discuss their dates and we write it down in the register.
