Kawkabaan Power Tools

Kawkabaan Power Tools is over at Shop No. 2 in Daulatganj Maruti Industrial Park. If you know the area, it’s No. 4/1. It’s not the biggest shop you’ll ever see, but we’ve got shelves full of drills, saws, and all the stuff you’d expect. Most days, the place is a bit of a mess because we’re busy moving boxes or showing someone how a grinder works. The air smells like metal and machine oil, which is just how it is in an industrial park. We’ve been here for a while now, and we know most of the guys in the other shops around Maruti. Sometimes it gets really hot in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop, but we keep the fan going and just get on with things. People usually find us by looking for the big sign, though it’s faded a bit over the years. We don't spend much time on fancy displays or anything like that. We just focus on keeping the tools in stock and making sure we can find what a customer needs without digging through too many piles of boxes. It’s a lot of lifting and shifting, and our hands are usually a bit greasy by lunch time. We usually have tea from the stall around the corner twice a day. It’s just how the day goes here. We don't have a big office, just this shop where we work.
