D. J. Laboratories is tucked away in Jindal House at 169 Jaora Compound. The compound itself is an older part of town, and it has that classic industrial feel to it. It’s not always easy for new drivers to find us the first time, but once you know where Jindal House is, it’s simple. Inside, the lab is kept very clean, obviously, but the rest of the office is just a normal, lived-in space. We have stacks of files and old wooden desks. It’s a private company, and it feels like it. We aren't part of some massive corporation with thousands of employees. We’re a smaller group of people who have been working together for years. Most of our day involves testing and paperwork. There’s always a faint smell of chemicals in the air, which you just get used to after the first week. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for results to come in. The neighborhood around Jaora Compound has changed a lot over the years, but our building stays pretty much the same. We like it that way. It’s a comfortable place to work. Sometimes we stay late when a big project is due, but usually, we wrap up and head home before it gets too dark. It’s honest work, and we don’t try to make it sound like anything more than it is. We just run our lab and take care of our daily tasks.
