You can find Candor Textiles Pvt. Ltd. over on Khandwa Road in the Shiv Nagar area of Musakhedi. It’s a busy part of Indore, and we’ve been part of the community here for some time. Our facility is a place where we actually make things, so it’s not always the cleanest or quietest environment. There is a lot of movement, with raw materials coming in and finished textiles heading out. The workers here are mostly from the surrounding neighborhoods, and they bring a lot of energy to the floor. We don’t really go in for big speeches or polished mission statements. We just focus on the fabric and making sure the machines are running as they should. The roads around Musakhedi can get pretty torn up during the monsoon, which makes logistics a bit of a challenge, but we manage somehow. It’s a very practical way of living for us. We have our tea breaks, we talk about our families, and we get back to the looms. There is a sense of pride in seeing a truck loaded up with something we actually produced right here. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We just keep doing what we know how to do, day after day, and try to keep things simple and honest.
