Our place is at 10-C on MG Road. It’s a well-known spot because we’ve been here for such a long time. Being on a main road like MG Road means there is always a lot of traffic and noise. We deal with motors and vehicles, so the sound of engines is something we are used to. The floor is usually a bit greasy, no matter how much we scrub it. That’s just the nature of working with cars. We have a small office area, but most of the action happens out in the back where the actual work is done. We have a crew of mechanics and staff who have been with us for years. They know their way around an engine better than anyone. We don't have a shiny glass showroom like the big new dealers. Our place is more about getting the job done right. Sometimes we have a lot of vehicles parked out front, and it gets a bit tight. We just manage the space as best we can. Customers come in with all sorts of problems, and we try to figure them out. It’s not always easy, especially with the older models, but we enjoy the challenge. We keep a pot of tea going in the corner for anyone who’s waiting. It’s a busy, oily, loud place, but it’s our business and we’ve been doing this for a generation or two now.
