Bharat Motors

You will find Bharat Motors at Plot No. 131 in Mechanic Nagar. We are right across from the Swadesh Tol Kanta, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The area is always full of trucks and cars, and the sound of engines is pretty much constant from morning until night. Our garage isn’t anything special to look at. It is a big open space with a lot of tools scattered around and usually a couple of vehicles in different stages of being fixed. We have been in this spot for years. The floor is stained with oil and there is always a bit of dust in the air, but that is what a real mechanic shop looks like. My hands are usually dirty by nine in the morning, and they stay that way until I go home. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV. People usually just stand around and chat while we look under the hood. Swadesh Tol Kanta is always busy, and that keeps us busy too. We have a small corner with some old chairs where people can sit, but most prefer to watch us work. It is a loud, messy environment, but it is where we belong. We have known the guys at the other shops in Mechanic Nagar for twenty years. We are just part of the landscape here now and we keep the engines running.
