You can find us at Bharat Bhawan, which is unit 77 in the Bhagirathpura Industrial Estate. Being in an industrial area means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of machinery from the neighbors. We do handicrafts, so the place is usually full of wood shavings, bits of fabric, and the smell of varnish or glue. It’s not a clean, polished showroom. It’s a workspace where things actually get made and packed. There are crates stacked up high near the entrance, waiting to be loaded onto trucks. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon gets a bit much, especially under the tin roof parts of the building, but we have a few old coolers that help a little. We have a small crew here. Some of the guys have been carving and finishing pieces for decades. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us in our work clothes, maybe covered in a bit of sawdust. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes off the benches because things have to be right before they go into the boxes. It’s hard work and it can be messy, but it’s what we do. We don’t spend much on decorations because the products themselves are everywhere. Lunch is usually a shared affair in the corner where it’s a bit quieter.
