We’ve been running Balchand Hashmatrai & Co. from our spot in Siyaganj for quite some years now. If you know the Main Road area, we are right inside Shivam Chamber at number 146. It’s a busy place with lots of trucks and people moving about all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy, but that is just how things go around here in the market. We don't have a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s a practical space where we handle our daily paperwork and talk to folks who drop by. The building is easy to spot once you get onto the main stretch. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so we all know each other well. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to work. There’s no big corporate hierarchy or complicated rules. If someone needs something, they just come in and ask. Siyaganj has a certain way of doing things, and we’ve just become a part of that rhythm over time. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we manage to get everything done by the end of the day. Dealing with the traffic on Main Road is probably the hardest part of the job. Other than that, it’s just a normal workplace with regular people trying to do a decent job. We like being in Shivam Chamber because it’s central to everything we need.
