We are located at Shop No-4/5 on Nasia Road, which is very close to the Sarvate Bus Stand. Because of the bus stand, this area is incredibly busy from early morning until late at night. There are always people rushing to catch a bus or arriving from out of town. B L Khandelwal & Company has been in this spot for a good while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Our shop is pretty functional, with counters and shelves that hold everything we need for our daily work. It can get a bit loud with the buses idling nearby and the constant flow of people, but we’ve learned to tune it out. We spend our time helping folks who come in and keeping our records straight. The space is a bit narrow, so we have to be organized to make sure we don't trip over things. We keep a small stove in the back to make tea, which is essential on those long afternoons when the heat is high. Many of our regulars are people who have been coming to this part of Nasia Road for years. We don't do much in the way of advertising; people just know we are here by the bus stand. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things, and we prefer it that way. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door.
