B. G. D. Garments Industries

We operate out of a couple of different spots. One of them is No. 8/1 in Sonane Market over in Nihalpura, and the other is No. 111 in the Readymade Complex in Pardeshipura. It can be a bit of a headache going between the two locations, especially when the traffic is bad in the afternoon and we are in a hurry. The market spot is where we see most of the people. It’s very crowded and loud with everyone trying to sell their things. Our space in the Readymade Complex is where we do more of the actual manufacturing and sorting. It’s a big building with lots of other garment businesses, so there’s always a lot of activity in the hallways and elevators. We have stacks of shirts and pants everywhere you look. We don’t really have any decorations on the walls, just some calendars and the rules for the workers. It’s a very busy environment and we don’t have much time for anything else but the work. Sometimes we share a meal together in the back when we have a spare moment. We started this because we knew the garment trade well and wanted to have our own thing. It isn't a huge operation, just enough to keep us busy and the orders going out on time. We don't use any fancy systems, just our hands and some old machines that we keep running. (253 words)
